Return Instructions

To begin a return, please contact our customer service team at support@voltsandwatts.com to request a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number. You will receive the correct return address with your RMA.

Return addresses vary by brand or manufacturer.
Please only ship to the return address provided. Our office location does not accept returns.

We offer a 30-day return window from the date of delivery for eligible products. Returned items must be in new, unused condition, with original packaging, labels, and accessories included. For information on damaged items upon arrival, please refer to the “Damages” section below.


Cancellations & Refunds

You may cancel your order at any time before it ships for a full refund, unless the order contains a custom or made-to-order item (see below).

Cancellations (Before Shipment)

If you need to cancel an order, please contact us promptly. Orders canceled before shipment are eligible for a full refund.
You can reach us by phone, email, or live chat during business hours.


Cancellations of Custom Orders

Custom or made-to-order products cannot be canceled or refunded once production has begun, as these items are manufactured specifically per order.
If you’re unsure whether your order is custom, please contact us.


Refunds and Returns

We provide a 30-day return window for unused, new, and unopened standard products. Additional rules may apply to custom, made-to-order, or freight-shipped items.

Customers must inspect all deliveries and report shipping damage within 5 business days of receipt.

To exchange a product, contact us at support@voltsandwatts.com. All shipping costs for returns or exchanges are the responsibility of the customer.

Freight Shipped Returns


For any item that ships via freight (LTL curbside delivery), the following policies apply:

  • Customer is responsible for all return freight shipping costs.

  • A 20% restocking fee will be deducted from the refund.

  • Original shipping and freight fees are non-refundable.

  • Payment processing fees are non-refundable.

  • Return freight costs typically range from $200–$1000+ depending on the item’s size, weight, and destination.

  • Customers must contact us at support@voltsandwatts.com for return instructions prior to sending any freight shipment back.


Items Not Eligible for Return, Exchange, or Refund

The following items cannot be returned, exchanged, or refunded:

  • Items marked “non-returnable” in the product description

  • Used, installed, or assembled items

  • Bundled kits sold at a discounted rate – the entire kit must be returned to be eligible for a refund


Restocking Fee (20%)

A 20% restocking fee applies to all eligible returns.
This fee is deducted after the returned item is inspected and confirmed to be unused, unopened, and in original condition.


Payment Processing Fees

Payment processing fees are non-refundable. These fees typically range from 2.9% + $0.30 to 5.99% + $0.30, depending on the payment method used.


Refund Method

Approved refunds are issued back to the original payment method.
Most banks take 3–5 business days to post refunds, although timelines vary.


Manufacturer Return Restrictions

Some products ship directly from the manufacturer and may not be eligible for return due to manufacturer policies.
Any product with brand-specific return limitations will list them clearly on the product page.


Shipping Times

Shipping times listed on product pages are estimates provided by suppliers and carriers. Actual delivery times may vary due to manufacturer delays, logistics volume, and supply-chain conditions.

If a significant delay occurs before shipment, we will notify you. You may choose to wait or cancel the order for a full refund before it ships.


Customer Acknowledgment

By placing an order with Volts and Watts, customers acknowledge the following:

  • I am responsible for inspecting my order upon delivery and reporting any damage within 5 business days.

  • I am responsible for return shipping costs and any new shipping fees for exchanges.

  • Returned items must be unused, unopened, and in original packaging, and are subject to a 20% restocking fee.

  • Shipping timelines are estimates and may vary due to factors outside the control of Volts and Watts.


Damages

Customers must inspect delivered products within 5 business days and report any damage to support@voltsandwatts.com.

If reported within 5 days, customers may be eligible for:

  • Replacement parts

  • A discount to keep the item

  • A full replacement

  • A full refund after a return has been received and inspected.

Items cannot be used while a damage claim is being reviewed.

If damage is not reported within 5 business days, Volts and Watts may not be able to file a claim with the carrier or manufacturer. Replacement parts may still be available.

Manufacturing residue or minor cosmetic imperfections that do not affect function are not considered damage.


Warranty

Warranty coverage varies by manufacturer. Please refer to individual product pages for details.

If a product develops a defect, our technical team will assist with the manufacturer’s warranty process. Troubleshooting is required by manufacturers to determine eligibility for a warranty claim.

After a claim is submitted:

  • The manufacturer may approve or deny the claim

  • Approved claims will have replacement parts shipped

  • Some manufacturers may cover labor (refer to warranty terms)

Warranty claims typically take 1–4 weeks to process.
All warranty replacements require defective parts to be returned within 30 days using the provided prepaid return label.

Returns (General Policy)

Unless stated otherwise on a product page, customers are responsible for return shipping costs and any reconsignment fees due to address errors or refusal of delivery.


BOGO Promotions

For Buy-One-Get-One promotions:

  • Both items must be returned for a full refund

  • Returning only one item may result in store credit or replacement, depending on the promotion terms

  • Customers are responsible for return shipping once the order has shipped
